Hello! I am an Austin High alum and have returned to my hometown. I have a Sociology degree from Texas A&M and have held many mentoring roles, both in my jobs and in volunteer work. I used the I Am That Girl book in a girls mentoring group at a Houston high school, where I developed healthy relationships curriculum and discussion topics. (I got a chance to tell Alexis when I ran into her at Whole Foods in Austin!) I would love to help out and interact with the Austin High chapter. Please send me more information on what the group is currently doing, leadership, needs, etc. Thanks!

Being a girl is a lot of work. I studied Youth Development at A&M and worked at a summer camp for many years. My full-time job has nothing to do with youth and I crave being able to give back and to help instill work ethic, confidence, passion, and hope in the lives of younger women.

Hi there! I just heard about IATG through a friend who sponsored a lovely young lady in my name. Receiving that email and seeing the quote “You inspire her, and we hope this inspires you”, made me realize that I do have the ability to inspire women every day and would love to be involved with an organization that does just that. I work for Bumble, a company that is based on empowering women to make the first move in every aspect of their life. My favorite job in life, however, is being an older sister. I hope to be the best example for my little sister, her friends, and my colleagues every day and I love doing so. I also struggled with an eating disorder during my high school years. This is a topic near and dear to my heart and I would love nothing more than to be an example for young girls to learn to love themselves and their bodies. Bottom line, I am very excited about everything that IATG stands for and would love to be a part of the team!
